Tell the City of Portland to fund shelter and food security!

The City of Portland is giving YOU a voice in how they spend millions of dollars in Federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. Participate in their poll and tell them that shelter and food security need to be priorities!

The lack of supportive shelters and a shortage of affordable housing have created a crisis in Maine, forcing more people experiencing homelessness to go unsheltered, in sometimes life-threatening temperatures, without a safe place to stay. Additionally, the rising cost of goods has left many individuals and families unable to put food on the table. Allocating some of these funds to 24/7, trauma-informed shelters and programs addressing food insecurity will save lives and strengthen our community. Take the poll before it closes on August 19!
