PREBLE STREET LEGACY SOCIETY

The Preble Street Legacy Society honors and recognizes our friends who, individually and collectively, have invested in the future of Preble Street by establishing a life income gift or by including Preble Street in their will, living trust or long-term estate plans.

Legacy gifts carry forward our mission to meet urgent needs, empower people to make change in their lives, and create solutions to homelessness and hunger in our communities.

A legacy gift to Preble Street — through your will, a trust, or other vehicles – will help us lead the way to a future of opportunity and hope for all.

“Those yet unborn will weep and laugh that others care or took the time to do this thing for those unknown. . . for all who may, like me, sometimes feel all alone.” — Preble Street client

Thanks to all of our Legacy Society members who invest in the future of our community by including Preble Street in their planned giving

Bo & Cathy

Welcome new
Legacy Society Members!

Twenty new members were inspired by Cathy Houlihan and Bo Norris (above) to take the Bequest Challenge! At our first Legacy Society Reception in April 2023, Cathy and Bo presented Preble Street a $10,000 check representing $500 for each new member who named our agency in their will in the last year.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT PREBLE STREET

Legacy giving provides Preble Street with a strong base of future support and costs nothing today. We’ve partnered with FreeWill to make it easier than ever to create your will in as little as 20 minutes and start your legacy with Preble Street, 100% cost-free.

If you would prefer to finalize your will with an attorney, you can save time by using FreeWill to document your wishes first. You can also see examples of bequests here. Each can be adapted by you or your attorney to meet your specific intentions.

If you are planning a legacy gift to Preble Street or have already included us in your estate plans, please let us know by filling out this quick form.

NON-PROBATE ASSETS

You can also name Preble Street a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), life insurance policy, or other non-probate assets, which are not covered by your will. In doing so, you can establish a legacy of hope and opportunity for people experiencing homelessness. You can organize your beneficiaries and learn how to update them with your custodian here:
