Stuff the Bus food drive comes to Portland

PORTLAND (WGME) — A bus packed with food made its way to Portland Wednesday and it’s all going to feed hungry families during the holidays.

This is part of the Stuff the Bus food drive.

In the past 8 years, the campaign has brought more than a million pounds of food to Portland.

Senator Angus King was one of several volunteers lending a hand.

This is the largest food drive in Maine.

Three soup kitchens along Preble Street got the food. Those kitchens are the Florence House, Teen Center and the Preble Street Resource Center.
