On June 17, 2025, hundreds of people who share in our mission and values gathered to celebrate Preble Street’s 50th Anniversary! We knew it would be special, and the amount of hope, joy, and compassion swirling through the event was truly something to behold. Every person present brought an energy that added to the magic of the evening, and we couldn’t be more thankful for our community.
There are too many highlights to list (several hundred people chanting “Justice for All”, the marching band…), but we want to especially acknowledge Congresswoman Chellie Pingree for taking time out of her busy schedule to celebrate with us; the very special letter we received from Governor Janet Mills; and the extraordinary entry into the Congressional Record that we received from Senator Angus King.
Also, if you missed the powerful video paying tribute to the agency’s past, present, and future, please take a few moments to watch here.
This celebration was rooted both in Preble Street’s history, and in its future. Despite the uncertainty in our world right now, there is nothing that is going to take our focus away from finding solutions to the complex problems faced by the people we serve. We will continue to advocate for justice for all.
Thank you for being a part of our past
and for standing next to us in the days, weeks, and years to come.
