The Receiving Center has moved to 75 Darling Avenue, South Portland, ME.

The Preble Street Receiving Center has moved to its new location in the Preble Street Food Security Hub at 75 Darling Avenue, South Portland, ME. Donation hours have expanded to 9AM – 3PM, Tuesday through Friday.

The new location offers more space to store clothing and essential items, along with improved parking, making volunteering and donating clothes more convenient than ever.

Please only donate new or gently used items. If using black trash bags, please make sure items are thoughtfully sorted. Make a donation using our holiday wish list to help people in Preble Street programs enjoy and celebrate the holiday season.

We actively use and distribute donations as they come in and accordingly focus on accepting items that meet the immediate needs of the people we serve. Please reference the PDF below to see what items we can’t accept and where to take them instead.
